Ross Taylor is heading back to Hove this summer.
The New Zealand batsman is set to be confirmed as Sussex’s overseas signing for the NatWest T20 Blast, The Argus understands.
Taylor spent a successful three-month spell at Hove last season where he was the county’s most prolific batsman in the shortest format of the game with 394 runs at an average of 56.
The 32-year-old is almost certain to be in New Zealand’s squad for the Champions Trophy in June and has confirmed he is keen to stay on in England after the tournament to play for Sussex again.
Head coach Mark Davis has previously stated he wanted to sign a batsman for the NatWest T20 Blast with his budget not stretching to bringing in the permitted two overseas players.
