Andrew Hodd is hoping his hundred in the Championship game will secure a recall to the one-day side.
Ben Brown kept wicket in last Monday’s win over Durham Dynamos when Matt Prior went off on England duty but Hodd staked his claim with 101 yesterday The Sharks play back-to-back games in the Friends Provident Trophy against Surrey tomorrow and Durham on Monday (both noon starts).
Hodd said: “I’d love to be involved in the two games. One of the reasons I wanted to get runs was to make a statement. You have to go with the decisions but that doesn’t mean you have to like them and I want to find my way into the one-day side as the guy in form.”
Sussex will make a late decision on whether to include Yasir Arafat who arrived last night.
