Rana Naved took two wickets in the opening two balls of the second day of Sussex's County Championship clash with Surrey at Hove as the home side took just 15 minutes to mop up the tail.
The Pakistan paceman dismissed Andre Nel and Rao Iftikhar in consecutive balls to finish with four wickets for the innings.
Robin Martin-Jenkins picked up his fifth wicket when he got rid of Chris Schofield for 46 as Surrey added just six runs to their overnight score of 199-7.
Sussex then found it hard work with the bat as they reached 29-2 by lunch.
Chris Nash fell for just one when he was disappointed to be given out lbw to Andre Nel and Joe Gatting went for 15 when he looped a catch to mid off.
Mike Yardy has made just nine off 59 balls as Sussex had to remain patient and has been joined by Murray Goodwin, who is on two.
