A century partnership from Murray Goodwin and Mike Yardy has put Sussex on top against Surrey in the County Championship clash at Hove.
Sussex had struggled to score runs in the morning after finishing off the Surrey innings for 205 and limped to 29-2 by lunch.
Goodwin got the scoreboard ticking over though and looked on course for his 41st century for Sussex until he was bowled by Gareth Batty for 74 just before tea.
He put on 117 with Mike Yardy who is still there on 56 after reaching his half century off 157 balls to guide Sussex to 156-3, just 49 runs behind.
