Mike Yardy will discover today whether his England adventure is to continue.

The squads for next month's Champions Trophy one-day tournament and the Ashes series in Australia are announced at The Oval this afternoon.

After two impressive performances helped England draw the one-day series against Pakistan, Sussex's Yardy is hoping to make the Champions Trophy squad at the very least.

He took 3-24 at Trent Bridge on his ODI debut last Friday and 1-22 before scoring an unbeaten 12 to guide England to a series-squaring victory at Edgbaston 48 hours later.

England captain Andrew Strauss was impressed with the 25-year-old's performances.

He said: "Mike came in and did well in the Twenty20 international a fortnight ago and has proved he can transfer his county form into international one-day cricket which is not easy to do.

"To bowl as well as he has in his first two games has been impressive."

Matt Prior is another Sussex player who will be listening out to the squad announcements although he may have to settle for a place at the National Academy.

Both players will be in action tomorrow night at Hove when Sussex play Glamorgan in the Floodlit Twenty20 Cup (7pm).
