Joe Adams was in splendid form with the bat again as Glynde beat Ringmer to reach the final of the East Sussex League's Intersport of Lewes Trophy.

Replying to Ringmer's 183-9, Adams cracked 82 and Rob Mouland 59 not out as Glynde won with six wickets and seven overs to spare.

Earlier, Adams had taken 3- 37 and skipper Dale Tranter 3- 21 to restrict Ringmer's total.

Glynde will meet Crowhurst Park in the final at Fletching this Saturday after they just did enough to see off a gallant challenge from division threeside Rye.

Corey Yearwood hit 93 and Peter Eames 47 as Crowhurst Park posted 233-9, Ian Curry's 4-38 being the pick of the bowling.

John Osborn (57) and James Hamilton (56) put on an opening stand of 132 in just 23 overs in reply but the momentum was lost slightly after that and Rye fell ten runs short at the close, finishing on 223-7 with Michael Legg taking 3-34.

League champions Seaford cruised into the final of the Plate competition after crushing Lewes St Michael's by 226 runs.

Nicolas Scholtz (68) and stand-in skipper Paul Mason (46) put on 110 for the first wicket for Seaford and further contributions came from Darren Moore (44 not out) and Arthur Jennings (43) as they posted 281-8 from their 40 overs.

Saints were skittled for just 55 in reply, with 22 of those being extras. Stuart Pulford took 3-8 and Jon Pitts 3-17.

Seaford will play Heathfield Park in the final at Herstmonceux this Saturday after Barcombe scratched in the other semi-final.

Sussex over-60s are the Home Counties champions after beating Kent by five wickets in the final at Brentwood.

Ted Elsey, of Three Bridges, was Sussex's best bowler with 3-43 as Kent were restricted to 207 from their 45 overs.

Sussex were 76-4 after 20 overs of their reply but Andy Meads led Sussex to the brink of victory with 115.

He was dismissed with four runs needed and it was left to Elsey to hit the winning runs.

Hastings' Bob Phillips was able to join in the celebrations despite having to go to hospital after splitting the webbing in a finger taking a catch.
