Sussex’s off-spinning all-rounder Ollie Rayner has joined Middlesex in a permanent deal following his two loan spells at Lord’s during the summer.
The 25 year-old, who signed for Sussex in late 2005, went on to play 43 first-class matches for Sussex in his six seasons at Hove, taking 95 wickets and scoring over 1,000 runs.
Sussex coach Mark Robinson said, “We are all sorry to see Ollie leave as he has been a part of the club since an early age, but we recognise his desire to play more cricket in all forms of the game.
“We’d like to take this opportunity to thank him for all his hard work during his time at the club and we wish him all the best at Middlesex”.
