LEWES player-boss Simon Wormull has moved to strengthen his squad with four new signings.
Former Crawley Town youngster Tommy Brewer, a full-back or midfielder, has arrived from Wealdstone while Andy Mogwo, a 19-year-old 6ft 4in centre-back, was previously at Newcastle United where he played for the youth team and reserves.
They have been joined by Gillingham third year scholars Josh Hare and Jake Hessenthaler on work experience.
Both have been on the bench for the Gills’ first team this season. Hare is a centre-back while midfielder Hessenthaler is the son of former Gillingham boss Andy.
Wormull is also pursuing further possible new arrivals.
The Rooks boss decided to act after Callum Donaghey suffered a dislocated knee which is likely to rule him out for the remainder of the season.
Chris Breach starts a five-match ban with today's game at home to Met Police while a third central defender, skipper Steve Robinson, is still recovering from a knee operation.
Callum Dunne (knee) is likely to miss today's game but Karl Beckford (dead leg) and Wormull (ankle) are fit to rejoin the squad.
Meanwhile, Wormull has told Donaghey not to fret about his Lewes future.
He said: “What Callum has done since he arrived has been fantastic and I want him at the club next year. I have told him to try to get himself fit for pre-season and hopefully he won’t be out for longer than that.”
