Former skipper Chris Breach has returned to Lewes.
The Rooks have also snapped up ex-Worthing midfielder Dean Lovegrove on his return from America.
Breach rejoins the club from Burgess Hill to counter the loss through injury of Gary Elphick and fellow defender Lloyd Harrington.
Lovegrove played for Worthing in 2007-08 but has since been in the States, most recently captaining St Louis Lions in the fourth-tier USL Premier Development League.
Assistant manager Danny Bloor said: “We were on the lookout for another centre-back. Chris is a former Lewes captain, a local lad and a player who Lewes fans will be happy to see back at the club.
“Dean played for me at Worthing. He has been playing professionally in America and gives us another good option in midfield.”
Phil Appiah returns from suspension as the Rooks host Witham Town in Ryman premier tomorrow. Matt Crabb is another week away from a return to action after a knee operation and Sam Cole serves a one-game ban.
