Lewes will attempt to do Albion a favour on Sunday boosted by some extra firepower.
Striker Cherrelle Khassal marked her return from a long-term ankle injury with a standout performance in the 3-2 victory at C&K Basildon last weekend.
Fellow forward Kirsty Spice returned to training this week following a lengthy lay-off and is in contention to face high-flying Charlton Athletic at the Dripping Pan.
Charlton have won their last four games – scoring 27 goals in the process – to climb to second in Premier League south, a place and a point above the Seagulls.
The Rookettes have yet to take a point off one of the leading teams in the division but go into the clash having suffered just one defeat in their last six outings.
Boss John Donoghue said: “Cherrelle was prolific in pre-season so it is good to have her back. She was very lively on Sunday although it is obviously going to take a few games before she is fully back up to speed.
“With Kirsty close to a return too it give us some more options up front which is what every team needs. We’ve suffered quite a bit with injuries this season so it is encouraging that we are slowly welcoming players back.”
Khasall was a threat throughout against Basildon but it was goals from Paige Walder and Tash Wells along with an own goal which secured a hard-fought victory.
Donoghue is expecting an even sterner test against Charlton who have only lost once all season – to leaders Cardiff – and beat Lewes 5-0 at home last season having edged a 2-1 win at the Dripping Pan earlier in the campaign.
“They were a good side last year and are even better this year so it is going to be a challenge but we are at home and we’ll be up for it,” he added.
