Former Albion coach Ian Chapman has been invited to help out Lewes.
Manager Kevin Keehan has confirmed Chapman has been offered the opportunity to take some coaching sessions while he awaits for another job to come up.
Chapman left his position with Albion in May after Dean Wilkins was replaced as manager.
Wilkins and Chapman watched Lewes’s game at Woking on Tuesday, prompting speculation of some kind of permanent involvement at the Dripping Pan.
Keehan has ruled that out but would be happy for Chapman, who was also at the recent game with Ebbsfleet, to help out on a casual basis.
He said: “I had a brief chat with Chappers and I have said if he was interested in coming to do a few sessions he would be very welcome.
“There is nothing in it with Dean but Chappers may come along and do a bit to keep his eye in.
“I have spoken to a few other people like Alan Cork, before he went to Bolton, and said if he wanted to keep his hand in by doing a session that would be good. I would say to them what I want from a session, let them get on with it and watch.”
Former Lewes manager Steven King is among the favourites to take over at Woking following the sacking of Kim Grant.
Grant lost his job after the Cards’ 1-1 draw with Lewes. King, who was in the crowd for the game, was linked with the job at Kingfield Stadium in the summer.
