Nathan Crabb is hoping for a change of luck as he bids to end a 13-month goal drought.

The Eastbourne Borough striker has not found the net since scoring the second goal in a 2-0 win at Kidderminster Harriers last September.

That barren run so nearly came to an end at Bath City last weekend, only for his goalbound shot to be turned in at close range by Simon Weatherstone who was in an offside position.

It caps a year to forget for Crabb whose Priory Lane career was put on hold for 12 weeks last October when he suffered a heart scare which turned out to be a false alarm.

Crabb said: “I have never gone such a long time without a goal in my whole career. It has been really frustrating so I couldn’t believe it when Tinners (Weatherstone) knocked my shot in on Saturday.

“It was definitely going in the bottom corner but I suppose that is how my luck is going at the moment. I don’t blame Tinners as he was just making sure it went in but I really could have done with a goal.

“You do start to lose confidence when you are not scoring but hopefully as soon as I get one I will be able to kick on and they will start to flow again.”
