Eastbourne Borough midfielder Dan Brown has joined Harlow Town on a three-month loan.

Brown has made 11 appearances this season but has only started two games in his preferred central midfield role after falling behind Simon Weatherstone, Matt Smart and Simon Johnson in the pecking order.

The former Crawley midfielder has mainly been used as an emergency left-back or substitute and has left to get regular first team action with the Ryman division one north outfit.

Head coach Nick Greenwood said: "Dan felt it was important at this stage of his career to be playing regularly.

"Dan also expressed a desire to be playing closer to homeand to cope with the increasing demands of a young family."

Brown joined Borough on loan from Cambridge United in November 2008 before making the switch permanent in January 2009. He has made 74 appearances for the Priory Lane outfit, scoring one goal.
