Danny Crow scored twice in the space of three minutes as Eastbourne Borough went down 4-2 against Luton Town at Priory Lane.

Borough had twice fought back from behind with goals from Steve Cook and Simon Johnson cancelling out strikes from George Pilkington and Matthew Barnes-Homer but sloppy defending cost them in the end.

Luton had a strong wind at their back in the first half and put Borough under intense pressure in the opening 30 minutes. They went ahead in the 18th minute when Pilkington headed home after a corner had been nodded back across goal.

The visitors should have been 2-0 up when Crow headed over when unmarked but instead Borough levelled nine minutes before the break when Cook flicked on a free kick from Matt Crabb which found the far corner.

Crow missed another great chance when he headed straight at Rikki Banks early in the second half but set up Barnes-Homer to restore Luton's lead in the 63rd minute.

The lead lasted just four minutes as Jamie Taylor did well to cut the ball back for Johnson to poke home from close range.

Borough looked to have the momentum at that point and with the wind in their favour they were probably favourites to go on and win the game.

Those hopes were shattered as Crow made it 3-2 after Banks was unable to hold a shot from Barnes-Homer and he stabbed home from close range and then converted from the spot after Ben Austin had handled a through ball from Andy Drury.

It was nearly 5-2 with ten minutes to go when a long range shot from Amari Morgan -Smith beat Banks on the bounce and came back off a post.
