Eastbourne Borough boss Garry Wilson admits his side missed an opportunity to claim another big scalp as they went down 4-2 at home against Luton Town.
Borough twice fought back to be level at 2-2 midway through the second half when they had a strong wind at their backs.
But two goals in the space of three minutes from Danny Crow, one from the penalty spot, earned Luton all three points.
Wilson said: "It was a difficult game. We opted to play against the wind in the first half and didn’t get off to a good start but after we scored we finished the half on a positive note.
"We were pleased to be 1-1 at half-time and we felt the conditions meant we would have more of the ball and more chances in the second half.
"We conceded a poor goal but again showed great spirit to come back and at 2-2 we felt it could swing in our favour.
"We’ve had a really tough run and picked up some valuable points. This was always going to be a tough game but we gave it a real go so I am not too downhearted."
