Eastbourne Borough are hopeful of bringing in at least one new face for tomorrow’s visit of Grimsby.
Borough are keen to sign a defender on loan after Mitchell Nelson was allowed to return to parent club Bournemouth yesterday. His departure means Borough potentially only have two fully fit defenders with Matt Langston out long-term and Neil Jenkins and Gary Elphick both experiencing injury problems.
The Priory Lane outfit are also keen to add to their firepower with strikers Richard Pacquette and Andy Atkin both short of fitness.
Head coach Nick Greenwood said: “We are actively working on a few things and will have to make a final decision today. We are talking to a number of clubs about certain players but who we get depends on our own circumstances regarding injuries and that of the other clubs.”
