Two-goal debutant Tyrone Berry earned praise from Lewes boss Steven King.

The former Crystal Palace youngster, signed on a month's loan on Friday from Conference side Rushden and Diamonds, netted in the seventh and 69th minutes in a 3-1 home victory over Sutton United.

Gary Holloway hit a 30-yard wonder goal to help the Rooks end a run of seven games in all competitions without a win. Warren McBean replied for Sutton in the 38th minute.

Berry was one of four new faces in the Lewes line-up. Goalkeeper Corrin Brooks-Meade, on loan from Premiership Fulham, and ex-Woking forward Chris Sharpling both started while defender Matt McEntegart, who has arrived on loan from Forest Green, came on as a substitute.

King said: "Tyrone did well. He showed pace and won us the game with his goals. I like the look of Corrin but it is no secret I want an experienced goalkeeper on a permanent deal."

Striker Paul Booth, sidelined with injury, is set to get a run-out in the Sussex Senior Cup at Selsey tomorrow.

Lewes: Brooks-Meade, Robinson, Hamilton, Legge, Simpemba, Hall, Kadi, Holloway, Drury (McEntegart), Sharpling (Cade), Berry.

Bognor will entertain Crawley in the third round of the Sussex Senior Cup tomorrow with a patched-up side.

Winger Richard Hudson (knee) and former Albion defender Stuart Tuck (hip) are ruled out after sustaining injuries during the 1-1 draw at home to Fisher Athletic.

Matt Piper is also sidelined and striker Luke Nightingale is unavailable.

Rocks boss Jack Pearce said: "We'll get round it. We want to put one over on Crawley as they usually beat us."

Ben Watson headed a stoppagetime equaliser to cancel out Lenny Piper's first-half effort.
