Paul Martelletti set on new course record as he won the Brighton Half Marathon for the third year in a row.
Martelletti pulled away with four miles to go to cruise to a comfortable victory in 66min.48sec ahead of Brighton and Hove City’s Kevin Rojas. Neil Boniface (Horsham Joggers) was the second Sussex runner home in fourth place.
Julia Davis smashed her personal best by more than four minutes to edge out defending champion Sarah Hill and win the women’s race. Emily Proto (Arena 80) was the leading Sussex runner in third place with a massive personal best of 79min.49sec.
