Brighton’s Chris Eubank Jr went through his paces today at the media work-out in London’s famous Peacock Gym to show that he is ready to take the Interim WBA World middleweight title from champion Dmitry Chudinov.
Eubank returns to the ring this Saturday at The O2 and aims to put his split decision points loss to arch-rival Billy Joe Saunders last November behind him and focus on Chudinov’s world title.
Eubank Jr went through a power-packed session and watching closely was his father and British great Chris Senior alongside trainer Ronnie Davies.
Eubank Jr said: “I just can’t wait for Saturday night now and get back in the ring where I belong. I’m destined to become a world champion and while my route has taken a small knock along the way I’m back on track and ready to prove that I’m the real thing by beating Chudinov and prove that I belong with the best.”
Saturday’s opponent Chudinov arrived in London with his team today.
The Russian is confident he can hand Eubank Jr a second successive defeat.
Chudinov said: “I wouldn’t be here in London if I didn’t think I could beat Eubank Jr.
“Eubank Jr is a good fighter, but I’m better, much better.“
