A last-gasp penalty from Scott Ramsay forced a well-earned 1-1 draw for Eastbourne Borough against an uncompromising Havant and Waterlooville side at Priory Lane.

The visitors took the lead after ten minutes when Lee Hook allowed the ball to spill under him and Rocky Baptiste was on hand to apply a cute finish.

Hook soon made amends. The Borough stopper produced a fantastic double save to deny Tony Taggart and then Baptiste's follow-up.

Havant were dominant, forcing nine corners in the first half, and Tom Jordan was unlucky to see his header fly just over.

Borough's best chance arrived on 35 minutes. Adam Wilde sprang the offside trap but blazed over when one-on one-with the goalkeeper.

Borough were full of endeavour but could not break through the Havant defence. Paul Armstrong forced a save from Shane Gore and then Ramsay's low shot required a decent stop.

Borough continued to batter the Havant rearguard and got their reward when Ramsay blasted in his second spot-kick in as many games in the dying moments.
