Fast bowler Reece Topley says he is ready and raring to go after signing a deal with Sussex until the end of the season.
The former Essex and Hampshire seamer, who has 16 limited-overs caps for England, had surgery last August to cure a recurring back problem that has derailed his career.
The left-arm bowler has been training at Hove as a free agent and now says he is ready to make his comeback across all formats from July 19.
Topley, 25, told The Argus: "I feel like I am playing when I am ready.
"I’ve been bowling since February but I didn’t want to play if I wasn’t confident or was half-hearted about it.
“I’ve bided my time and feel like I am in a place now where I can contribute to the end of the season in all forms."
