Sam Gargan has been warned he faces a big test as he adjusts to life at Bognor.
The on-loan Albion striker, a prolific scorer with Ryman division one south Worthing this season, made his Conference south debut in the 3-2 defeat at Braintree Town.
Rocks joint-boss Darin Killpartrick said: Sam did some things okay and showed he has things to learn on other occasions. He might have scored lots of goals for Worthing but he is playing at a higher level now."
Alex Haddow scored twice to put Rocks 2-1 up after Robbie Martin had given the hosts the lead. Braintree hit back through Chris Sullivan and Leon Archer.
Bognor: Stoner, Birmingham, Knee, Balfe, Breach, Wallis-Taylor, Haddow (Pambria), Chamberlain, Beck, Nightingale, Gargan. Unused subs: Harris, Marshall, Greatwich, Rowland.
