Horsham's top scorer Carl Rook hopes to drive Swansea out of the FA Cup tomorrow.

But he may well need a lift to the ground after a trip to Sittingbourne magistrate's court tomorrow morning.

Rook, who has scored 12 times this season including six in the FA Cup, has accumulated 12 points for speeding.

He fears a ban and will have to rely on strike partner Simon Austin to ferry him to tomorrow's big match.

Both players live in Kent and, until now, have shared driving duties to Queen Street.

Rook said: "We normally take it in turns to drive to the ground. But if Simon doesn't give me a lift, it looks as if I won't be at the game!"

There's no chance Austin will let his team-mate down for the second round tie against League One leaders Swansea.

The biggest match in Horsham's 126-year history will be played out before the Sky TV cameras and the Hornets will need to be at full strength and at their very best if they are to become giant-killers.

No one gives Ryman premier League Horsham a chance against the Welshmen, who are four divisions higher.

But there is no doubt that Rook and Austin are a threat in front of goal and they may just have a surprise in store for the visitors.

They have developed a lethal partnership and scored 19 goals between them since Austin joined from Maidstone three months ago.

Rook, with 49 goals in 89 appearances ince joining fron Dover in 2006, said: "Our partnership works well. I am the target man. I win my flick-ons and Simon feeds off them.

"He also drops into the midfield hole to get the ball which allows me to make my runs further up the field and anticipate a pass from him.

"When I played with Jamie Taylor, my previous strike partner, I'd fetch the ball and Jamie would make darting runs and score.

"But playing with Simon gives me the opportunity to get the glory and I like that!

"He can keep getting the ball for me all night long as far as I'm concerned. We are settled as a pair.

"If Lee Farrell came on as a substitute, which he did in the last round, I will have to adapt.

"Lee likes to get in on goal and doesn't come back that much. He likes a bit of glory too!"

Rook, 24, a scaffolder from Sittingbourne, his hoping to outshine Swansea's star striker Guillerm Bauza and his fellow Swans.

Bauza, 23, a free transfer in the summer from Espanyol, has played in the same team as Fernando Torres for the Spanish under-16, under -17s and under 20s teams, and has scored four goals this season Rook said: "I'm the talk of the town round my way and I like the attention. There is a bit of pressure to live up to the billing but once we kick off I'll be fine.

"I plan to outshine Bauza and then ask for his shirt as a memento.

"He has gone from playing with Liverpool's Fernando Torres to little old Horsham. He and his manager are Spanish and they might not fancy it on our bobbly pitch. Hopefully we'll get our foot in early and they'll cry off."

Austin confirmed he is ready to give Rook a lift in his VW Polo for the 160-mile round trip.

He said: "Carl can do the talking and I'll do the driving."

Austin, with seven goals in 20 games, believes his improved fitness will help him provide the goals for Rook tomorrow..

The 26-year-old, from Chatham, who works in IT, said: "I wasn't match fit when I came because of lack of games at Maidstone. But I've worked hard and feel fit and sharp."
