Horsham manager John Maggs today prepared his players for the biggest game of their lives and said: "Let's go for the win".

Hornets face League One leaders Swansea in the FA Cup second round at a sell-out Atspeed Stadium tomorrow.

They have never reached this stage of the famous competition before and are not expected to go any further.

Swansea have lost just one of their last 13 games, are packed with experienced league players and are full of confident after going top with a 1-0 win over Hartlepool on Tuesday.

But Maggs has only got victory in his sights and insists Horsham will not change the way they play.

He said: "We have a squeak of a chance if we put it together and do the business because on our day we are a match for anyone.

"I'm not going to change anything, I'm a 4-4-2 man and that is how I think it should be played at non-league level.

"There are no hidden secrets. Swansea have watched us and they will know what we're going to do "I'm not going to give them any surprises. I'm old school and think that you should stick to what you do best.

"I want to score a goal and want to go through so we're not going to go out to sit back and defend.

"If we get beaten and have put in a performance then everyone will say the players and the club have done extremely well so we have nothing to lose.

"It is a massive game for the players and I want them to have a go. We won't get another chance like this so why not go for it?"

Maggs has told his players to take inspiration from two of their Ryman premier division rivals ahead of the David versus Goliath clash.

Strugglers Billericay pushed Swansea all the way in the last round, losing 2-1 at home after a second-half brace from Guillem Bauza.

Staines, who sit one place above Hornets in the table, produced a big cup upset last week when they beat League Two Stockport on penalties.

Maggs said: "We have got to be encouraged by the Billericay result and Staines did exceptionally well last week as well by knocking out a league club.

"The difference is that Swansea are top of the league and are the highest team we could have drawn because Championship sides don't come into it until the next round.

"They are above teams like Nottingham Forest and Leeds and they are up there on merit. The odds are stacked against us but it has been done before. That is why the FA Cup is such a good competition."

Maggs reckons Horsham's chances will be helped by some home comforts.

His side have lost only once at their antiquated ground this season, a 4-2 defeat against Staines in October.

Maggs, who combines his role with groundsman duties, said: "We had a game on the pitch the other night and it got chewed up a bit.

"We have covered it up and it will stay like that until kick-off. It is a bit soft but by the time of the game it will be very good by non-league standards.

"It could work to our advantage. I sent Rob Frankland to watch Swansea the other night and he said the pitch was magnificent. It was like a carpet and he half fancies us getting a draw just so we can go and play on it."
