Bognor boss Michael Birmingham has challenged Scott Chamberlain to become one of the stars of Conference south after securing the services of the Albion midfielder on loan until the end of the season.

Chamberlain proved a success at Bognor after arriving at Nyewood Lane on a temporary deal in September following a disappointing loan spell at Eastbourne Borough.

The midfielder returns to the Rocks side for the first time in four weeks for the trip to Havant and Waterlooville today (Tuesday) and Birmingham is hoping for big things.

Birmingham said: "Scott is a very good player and it is great news he has signed. The good thing about it is that he approached us about coming back and that shows he is enjoying the challenge here.

"Scott has shown already that he has a lot of ability but now I am looking for him to step up another level and take games by the scruff of the neck.

"Someone who is a professional at Brighton should be winning man-of-the-match awards. Scott is certainly capable of doing that so it is down to him."

On-loan Albion striker Sam Gargan and Luke Nightingale are both available for the trip to Havant after recovering from injuries while Andy Pearson is expected to be fit to return but Mark Knee (flu), Seb Wallis-Taylor (hamstring) and Charlie Balfe (dead leg) are all doubts.
