Worthing match-winner Lloyd Skinner hopes his goal in the 1-0 win at Leatherhead will help clinch him a new contract with Albion.
Skinner, who is on a month's loan at Woodside Road, struck his first goal for Rebels to end a miserable run of ten games without a win.
It was his fourth appearance for the Rebels after more than three months sidelined with a torn knee cartilage which curtailed an earlier loan spell at Burgess Hill.
The 19-year-old winger said: "It was only a tap in but it could prove to be the most important goal of my career. Hopefully it will help me get a new contract with Albion."
Ollie Rowland stood out for Worthing after switching to central defence when Andy Alexander was injured in the warm-up.
Joint manager Danny Bloor said: "Ollie was outstanding. We dug in well and can now move on after a difficult January."
