Sussex have been hit by a spate of withdrawals for Wednesday's Southern Counties Cup Competition fixture away to The Army.
Nine players have pulled out of the original 16-man squad including Ringmer's Marc Whiteman, who cannot play because he is on contract, and Chichester's Warren Hunt, who has since quit the county to sign for Moneyfields.
The other absentees are Tom Rand, Scott Murfin, Paul Jones, Andy Beech, Chris Hibberd, Shaun Loft and Lee Denyer.
Manager Sammy Donnelly has called up Three Bridges pair Sam McVicar and Nathan Davis, Shoreham duo Neil Kane and Dan Jordan plus Julian Curnow (Wick) and Sam Crabb (Eastbourne United). He hopes to add at least one more name to the group before they set off to Aldershot.
