Two Sussex clubs have been given the chance to tell the British League why they should play in the top flight.
Brighton Cougars and Worthing Thunder will go before a BBL panel on March 5 to present their bids for places in next season's competition.
They are among a handful of clubs looking to enter.
Both have passed the first application stage and have each been invited to make a 30-minute presentation, followed by a question-and-answer session of up to 45 minutes.
Thunder are in first at 11am followed by Cougars at 1pm.
They will be looking to impress the BBL's commercial director Mike Davies, chief operating officer Andy Webb and club directors Vince Macauley and Gary Townsend, from Milton Keynes and Everton respectively.
Cougars' Anne Baverstock said: "The BBL obviously feel our application deserves serious consideration. We've got a good story to tell them."
