Ryan Walton scored the only goal as Jolly Boatman moved to within touching distance of the premier division title.

Walton's strike earned Boatman a 1-0 win in their top of the table clash with Lewes Bridge View, who now trail the leaders by eight points with four games to play.

With a two points for a win policy still in place, Boatman need one more victory to secure the championship ahead of Bridge View and Uckfield Cinque Ports, who are 11 points behind with six to play.

Uckfield ran out 2-1 winners at FC Glynde on Sunday thanks to goals from Kevin Stickney and Dan Barnard, with Chris Chessell hitting the lone reply.

In division one, Eastbourne Rangers beat Lodge 4-2 with goals from Carl Bamford, Stuart Lewis, Tony Bunting and Paul James. Replies came from Steve Green and Steve Baldock.
