World number one Justine Henin has announced her retirement from professional tennis at the age of 25 with immediate effect.
It means Henin will not defend her Eastbourne crown at Devonshire Park next month.
I'm at the end of the road," Henin, winner of 41 WTA singles titles, announced at a news conference today.
"I have experienced everything I could have. I have lived completely for tennis.
"I am relieved and proud of what I achieved."
