Helen Parsons continued her brilliant form this season with a hat-trick of victories for Crawley in the Southern Women's League.

Parsons followed up her record-breaking exploits at the Sussex Championships last month by winning the 400m in 56.3sec and the B string 200m in 26.3sec before storming through on the final leg of the 4x400m relay to beat Kate Kaye of Horsham Blue Star Harriers.

Her exploits could not prevent Crawley finishing last at Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre, though, to slip into the premier division relegation zone.

Louise Hoyte starred for Horsham as the hosts came second behind Radley to move up to seventh place in the table. Hoyte won the 3,000m in a personal best of 10min.32sec and then caught her breath to win the 1,500m in another PB of 4min.55.3sec.

Lucy Stickland narrowly failed on her final attempt at 3.62m in the pole vault but still claimed maximum points thanks to her clearance of 3.40m while there were wins for Hannah James in the discus (35.53m) and Zoe Parsons in the hammer (34.08m).

Brighton and Hove City finished third in the other match at Broadbridge Heath to boost their hopes of survival in the newly restructured premier division. Sheri Whiting won the javelin (33.45m), Amber O'Brien the shot putt (9.95m) and Jenny Coe the long jump (5.20m) while Holly Weaver managed a personal best clearance of 3.30m in the pole vault but had to settle for second on countback.

Fourteen-year-old Lauren Allymohammed won the senior javelin with a personal best throw of 37.26m as an understrength Eastbourne Rovers side were fourth at Reading in division one while Hastings also came last at Hillingdon.

Kayley Alcorn recorded victories in the 100m hurdles, 200m, high jump and triple jump as Worthing and District Harriers won a thrilling senior division two match at Lee Valley by half a point.
