Clymping missed the chance to go top of Invitation League division one after picking up 14 points from a draw against Crawley Eagles.

Clymping were restricted to 176-8 in reply to 184, with Andy Dick top scoring on 66, to move 13 points behind leaders Broadwater, who had a free week.

Rinkoo was the top batsman for Eagles with 67, which came during a last-wicket stand of 70 alongside Ish Jalal, while James Salisbury (4-44) and Andrew Danson (4-65) were pick of the Clymping attack.

Horsham Trinity made up ground on the front-runners with a maximum-point victory over depleted Selsey. Steve Cox (77) and Michael White (59) helped Trinity post 234-5 and Selsey fell 33 runs short after two players retired injured.

Darryl Rebbetts hit 87 and Jack Sunderland took 4-30 as East Preston chalked up 202-7 to beat Southwick by 63 runs.

Bottom club Wisborough Green were left frustrated from a draw against Portslade. Steve Calder-Smith (81 not out) and Martin Hopkins (49) helped the basement side to 226-4 but Portslade hung on for 189-8 in reply after Luke Jones hit 51 in 18 balls, despite the best efforts of Ben Thatcher (4-28).

Ram had the better of a draw against Worthing Chippingdale after Deepak (66) and Sohail (54) helped them to 207-9. Ben Stone took 5-32 for Chipps, who finished on 167-8 with Faisal Khan scoring 61 not out.

Southwater went top of division two with a six-wicket win over Broadbridge Heath after chasing down 160. Prolific Southwater batsman Johann Brouwer proved he could also turn his arm with figures of 4-35 and Dan Humphreys took 4-41 to restrict the target, before Brian Streeter (47) and Matt Lacey (40) top scored in reply. Craig Skilton (49) was the pick of the Heath batsmen.

Former leaders West Chiltington dropped from first to fifth following a seven-wicket defeat against Felbridge and Sunnyside. Chris Richings (5-23) and Roshan (4-40) left Chilts all out for 118 after Neil Miller made 49 and James Williams (50 not out) and Sam Holt (46 not out) led home the reply.

Gavin Clarke (62) and Will Whitehead (57) helped second-placed Storrington overcome 187 to win by five wickets against Eastergate, whose top scorer was Jim Berry (56).

Nick Elkins hit 115 as St Andrews chased down a target of 225-8 to beat Barns Green by two wickets, despite figures of 5-77 from Harry Swetman. David Gregory top scored for Green with 41, while Ben Carruthers took 4-41 for Saints.

Stephen Hoadley (53) and John Deare (4-61) were the top performers for Scaynes Hill in a 66-run win over Rustington, who were dismissed for 155 with Richard Hobbs making 40.
