Crowborough joint boss Steve Johnson is on the lookout for replacements after losing two strikers in quick succession.

Top scorer Gavin Gordon has completed his move to Merstham to follow the departure of fellow frontman Luke Fontana to Walton Casuals.

Wayne Clarke, who is second in the scoring charts with 12 this season, is one of four players doubtful for tomorrow’s trip to Ashford Town due to injury.

Bottom-of-the-table Crows also have concerns over Justin Harris, Steve Hunt and Dave Soutar.

Johnson said: “We are really short as a squad at the moment and I definitely need to bring a couple in. It is not easy, though, because results dictate that as well.

“I am disappointed to lose Gavin because I think we turned him into a Ryman player. When I first came here in the summer I wasn’t sure about him but we gave him games and he did well. But Merstham is closer for him and he got a better deal.”
