Crawley are back in the play-off race after completing the double over Wrexham with a magnificent 2-0 win at the Racecourse today.

Reds went ahead in the 11th minute when Mikey Malcolm's left-wing cross was headed home by a stooping Isaiah Rankin.

It was just the start Crawley wanted and it was no surprise when they doubled their lead in the 33rd minute.

Skipper Ashley Westwood's back pass from a free kick to keeper Anthony Williams fell well short and Dannie Bulman nipped in to tee up Robbie Matthews whose side-foot effort found the target from 15 yards.

Simon Rayner made decent saves from Matt Jansen and Ryan Flynn but Crawley were a constant threat on the break against a nervous home side.

Matthews saw his shot blocked and on 52 minutes Williams plunged to his left to keep out Chris Giles' header early in the second half.

Wrexham rallied late on when Rayner made a point-blank save from Michael Proctor and Sam Williamson's inswinging corner struck the bar.

Lewis Killeen then produced a terrific block to deny Williamson but Reds held on to record their first away win in the league since November 29.

Boss Steve Evans said: "It was probably one of our best performances since I became manager.

"After the first five minutes I didn't think the result was in doubt. The energy and commitment in the side was tremendous and when the chances came along we took them."
