Brighton rugby skipper Lloyd Jenkins has revealed he will complete his own Triple Crown at Twickenham today.

The Welsh flanker leads Blues out on the hallowed turf for the final of the EDF Energy Junior Vase against Cornish outfit Liskeard Looe (1pm).

Success would complete a treble for Brighton who have already secured county league and cup honours.

Jenkins, 25, said: “I played at the old Cardiff Arms Park as a schoolboy and at the Millenium Stadium for Swansea under-19s but never Twickenham.

“This is the icing on the cake from an outstanding season for the boys.”

Brighton, unbeaten in league and cup this season, travelled to London yesterday, stopping off at Twickenham for a behind-the-scenes tour.

Their hopes of a famous triumph will come down to a shoot out if scores are level after 80 minutes.

But Jenkins does not need to fear a repeat of the heartbreak suffered by compatriot Martyn Williams with Cardiff last weekend.

Instead, the top kicker from each side will take five shots from different positions along the 22.

Jenkins said: “I do some kicks in training and if it had come down to it I’d have taken one.

“Hopefully it doesn’t come to that.

“As long as we are not over-awed and we play like we did against Hullensians in the semi it will take a pretty good side to keep us out.”

Brighton will be backed by about 1,500 club members and wellwishers with West Stand tickets, price £5 for adults and £1 for juniors, available on the day.
