Brighton Blues are celebrating rugby glory at Twickenham today.

Two tries in a three-minute second-half spell helped the Sussex One champions beat Liskeard-Looe 32-20 in a thrilling EDF Energy Junior Vase final.

The outcome was in doubt until Blues player/coach Neil McGovern scored his second try with the final play of the game.

Blues trailed 8-7 at the break, Nick Buoy scoring their try with a clever chip and chase but Alistair Hill replying from a driving lineout.

Although Alex Finch opened the second half with a penalty, Liskeard centre Andrew Sheer carved through some weak tackling for the try which helped put his side 15-10 up.

Then McGovern struck from close range with a classic break after selling a dummy.

Finch's simple conversion nudged the Blues in front and better followed three minutes later as wing Ash Hallett raced in at the corner after Tom Aiken's long pass had opened things up.

Finch added a penalty and Blues needed that extra security as Sheer got to the corner in the closing stages to set up a tense finale.

Nerves were settled six minutes into added time when McGovern scored in support of a storming run from Hallett, with Finch converting.
