There will be plenty of bouts for boxing fans when the National Junior Novices begin next Friday with the Sussex finals.

A senior middleweight contest pits Kenny Langdon against Moulsecoomb’s Andy Swan while Jonathan Fry takes on Stacey’s Jack Budd.

The rest of the bouts involve juniors with Shane Wadey meeting Joe McKenchnie (Moulsecoomb) and Dylan De Temple facing Vinny Haworth, also of Moulsecoomb.

James Baker boxes Guildford City’s Barney Coyle while the other bout matches Joshua Liddle with Horsham’s Carl Francis.

West Hill enter Finn Metcalfe in the novices.

Entries close tomorrow with the winners going through to meet the Hampshire champions in Southampton.

Boxing starts at 7pm with tickets on the door priced at £10 (seniors) and £5 (juniors).

West Hill’s boxer of the year Jake Towse and Hove duo Chris Eubank junior and Lloyd Ellett are among the boxers named for a Southern Counties clash with The Army next month.

Towse faces Welsh ABA losing lightweight finalist Kyle Wisniewski.

The show takes place at Oakley Hall, Rectory Road, Oakley, Hampshire, on October 16.
