Brighton crime novelist Peter James has spoken of his excitement as an adaptation of one of his books appears on his home stage for the first time.
Mr James attended the opening night of the adaptation of his best-selling novel The Perfect Murder at The Theatre Royal Brighton last night.
The show, which is on a national tour, stars Les Dennis and Claire Goose and runs at the theatre in New Road until Saturday.
Speaking before the curtain went up, Mr James said: “I am really looking forward to the show.
“From my regular seats I have been using at the theatre since I was eight years old, I dreamed one day I would put a play on here.
“I couldn’t be more excited.”
