A video has been released appearing to show a suspected suicide bomber posing for photographs outside the lorry that drove into a Syrian prison.

The sensational footage shows Abdul Waheed Majeed, understood to be the man who carried out an attack in Aleppo last week under the name Abu Suleiman al-Britani.

Probably not worth pointing out to the Argus but in fact the vehicle in the picture is not the truck used in the attempted bombing of Allepo prison. I also say 'attempted' because the truck never actually made it to its final destination. The truck was intercepted by an RPG round fired by SAA troops stationed at the prison. Whilst the resulting blast did kill a couple of officers on the perimiter walls of the prison the mission was not successful and the vehicle was detroyed before it reached the prison.
