Tiny trauma teddies are being used to help comfort children heading into hospital by ambulance.
The little toys are given to youngsters by ambulance crews en route to help distract and cheer them up.
They are given to both sick and unwell youngsters and those travelling in with a parent or carer who has fallen ill.
Members of the Burgess Hill Lions have been supplying the teddies to the town's ambulance station for more than 12 years.
They have had feedback from some parents who say the teddies really helped out in a time of crisis.
Lions members handed over the latest batch of teddies – 576 of them – to South East Coast Ambulance Service staff at the station in The Brow.
It is expected to take up to two years before the teddies run out.
