Thousands enjoyed a summer solstice-themed seafront festival last weekend.
The annual Beach Dreams Festival in Beach Green, Shoreham, took place from Friday (June 20) to Sunday featuring music, arts and crafts, a fitness zone, and a schools parade.
The weekend kicked off on Friday with a launch party attended by around 1,000 people.
On Saturday pupils of Shoreham Beach Primary School and Pebbles Pre-School gathered at the primary school for the parade. With costumes and flower sculptures they had made in a workshop with the help of artists, they marched to the festival to the sound of samba bands.
Young musicians collective Shoreham Allstars ran the main stage with a line-up that saw Allstars bands The Beavis Band, Amputhracture and Wookie Weekend share the stage with more established artists such as Burning Organ and High Tyde.
Shoreham Beach resident Alison Lapper MBE, the artist born without arms, ran a workshop for children on how to paint using the mouth and feet.
There was also zumba, yoga, a toy hacking workshop and on Sunday there was a barn dance. The event was well attended with between 2,000 and 3,000 people present throughout the weekend.
Sarah Parker, who organised the festival with her husband Brent, said: “We wanted it to involve everybody for a fun, chilled out event with a family feel.
“We had loads of help from volunteers who stepped up and donated their time because they all wanted to put on a really nice community event.”
