Hundreds demonstrate against Israeli attacks on Gaza

HUNDREDS turned out to demonstrate against the ongoing attacks on Gaza.

People flooded the streets of Brighton on Sunday as they marched with banners and placards to show solidarity for the Palestinians locked in conflict with Israel in the Middle East.

A large crowd assembled by the War Memorial on the Old Steine and listened to speeches, including one from Caroline Lucas, MP for Brighton Pavilion. Then the 400 people marched from the Palace Pier along the seafront.

Demonstrators also hung a 10 metre banner from the pier that read “stop arming Israel” to support a growing call for an embargo on arms sales to the country.

At the end of the route at the Peace Statue on the seafront the marchers scattered hundreds of red and white flowers, symbolising blood and peace, into the sea.

Marchers vowed that there will be further demonstrations this weekend.

Not 1 word in the article about the thousands of Hamas Rockets fired at Israeli civilians.

Or the Hamas terror tunnels, from which terrorists sneak into Israel to murder Israeli civilians.

Israel has a legal& moral right to self-defence. Imagine 2,000 rockets landing in Brighton. We would demand that the British government went in & dealt with the murderers.

Israel has no territorial claims on Gaza. These are the 1967 borders. It is Hamas that wants nothing less then the destruction of Israel ( as set out in it's constitution.)

Hamas is a racist, homophobic, anti trade union, totalitarian organisation. The natural sympathies of Brighton people is with Israel - a free democratic open society.

The Palestinians are Sunni Muslims yet Hamas are allied to Hezbollah who are Shia Muslims killing Sunni Muslims in Syria. Go figure that one!

When they kill 3 teenagers they have to expect a reaction and when they fire rockets, some at a nuclear reactor they have to expect a reaction. They knew what would happen if they didn't behave themselves and yet they moan when it happens.

Most of those in the UN schools are Hamas who had their houses bombed and the UN has admitted that rockets have been fired from the schools in at least 4 cases

If they don't want to be flattened stop firing rockets then Israel will be forced to stop but that isn't what Hamas wants
