A WOMAN has written a book about dating 27 men in one year after looking for love on the internet.

Chrissy Stone’s appropriately titled 27 Men tells the story of trying to find love once she turned 30 and recounts her dating exploits and her quest to find love.

With one partner after another resulting in numerous ridiculous encounters and anecdotes, Ms Stone tells all about a “very eventful and colourful chapter of her life”.

She tried online dating and the book includes the first correspondence between men she met on the internet as she tried to cope with an “early mid-life crisis”.

Ms Stone said: “It cringingly details an infatuation with a completely unrealistic and hence utterly irresistible and mind-consuming romantic liaison with a guy who lives in another country.

“It covers the frustrations of meeting men that on paper should be the perfect match but in reality just fail to inspire.”

The author, from Rye, is now married but in the book she tries to offer an “intimate and emotional account” of her experiences as she tries to settle down.

Ms Stone said: “The book follows me on a journey of rediscovering the fun aspects of dating and playing the field, and indeed having a bit of a turning 30 early mid-life crisis’ where I relive my youth a bit, behave irresponsibly, unleash a thirst for adventure and have the emotional highs and lows one might associate more with that of a teenager.

“It covers the emotional conflict between the desire to have said fun with the concerns that naturally occur as a single woman in her 30s about wanting to settle down and breed.

“This includes the trauma of a medical condition that for a time saw me having to deal with the possibility that I may not be able to have children.”
