WORTHING

Waylon Chaon-Tseng, 33 of Milton Street, Worthing, pleaded guilty to three counts of failing to notify Worthing Borough Council that his income had increased – affecting his entitlement to housing benefit, council tax benefit, and a council tax reduction scheme. Ordered to do 120 hours’ unpaid work, pay a £60 victim surcharge and costs of £300.

Robert Tack, 26, of Tarring Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to three counts of making dishonest statements to Worthing Borough Council with a view to gaining housing benefit. Jailed for four months as magistrates said he had previous convictions for similar offences.

Gintautus Valincius, 44, of Rugby Road, Worthing, admitted failing to comply with a community order by failing to report for unpaid work on August 31 and September 7. Fined £100 plus £70 costs.

Mitchell Aaron Warrick, 36, of Columbia Walk, Worthing, admitted failing to comply with a community order, by failing to report for unpaid work on July 6 and September 7. Ordered to carry out 20 hours’ unpaid work and pay £70 costs.

Peter Joseph Bamber, 34, of Radnor Road, West Tarring, Worthing, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Given a 12-month conditional discharge. Ordered to pay £25 compensation, £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Elaine Murphy-Dunn,  50, of Rectory Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to breaking the 60mph speed limit on the A24 at Dial Post in a Peugeot on December 14, 2013. She was fined £100, ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £20 and three points were added to her licence.

SHOREHAM AND SOUTHWICK

Jamie Benson,  40, of Harbour Way, Shoreham, pleaded guilty to breaking a 30mph speed limit on the A259 Kingsway on December 13, 2013. He was fined £80, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and three points were added to his licence.

LANCING AND SOMPTING

John William Brown,  37, of Queens Road, Lancing, pleaded guilty to breaking a 30mph speed limit on the A259 Marine Drive, Saltdean on January 16. He was fined £37, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85 and was disqualified from driving for six months.

Adam Hemmings,  31, of Kings Road, Lancing, pleaded guilty to breaking the 30mph speed limit in a Ford on Kingsway in Hove on December 13, 2013. He was fined £100, ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £20 and three points were added to his licence. 

Ben Wood,  23, of Millfield, Sompting, was pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine and two counts of failing to answer bail. Fined £426 plus £21 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
