AN Inverness man was jailed for three months at Fort William Sheriff

Court yesterday, after admitting breaking in and causing #1650 worth of

damage to a holiday cottage owned by London lawyer Peter Carter Ruck.

Richard Scott, 31, of Haugh Road, Inverness, admitted daubing graffiti

on the walls and on oil paintings, and setting fire to six encyclopaedia

volumes in the cottage at Ockle, near Ardnamurchan Point. He also

admitted the theft of eight paintings, binoculars and food.
