THE Scottish Bond will send eight Backhold wrestlers to France for the

Breton Association's annual Easter camp. Five of the team will be

between 15 and 20, and the three adults must also be capable of tossing

the caber, putting the shot and lifting the manhood stone.

On Easter Sunday the juniors will compete in an under-21 competition

in Breton-style then all the foreign teams leave the training camp to

take part in a two-day exhibition at Rennes.

Jamie Quinn, of Springburn WC, increased his lead in Class B of The

Maryhill Shopping Centre League. He won the best throw and the 41kg

class.

Alastair MacEwen and Jim McGuinness, of Woodside, are fighting out

Class A with only one point between them.
