The bodies of three young children have been found after a woman fell to her death at a car park.

Police were called to an address after being contacted about the death of the woman from head injuries at a car park in Lowestoft, Suffolk.

Police said it is believed the youngsters, aged three, two and 11 months, were the woman's children.

A police spokesman said: "Ambulance and air ambulance attended, however the woman, who is believed to be in her 20s, was pronounced deceased on scene.

"Inquiries into the incident led police to an address in Lowestoft where the bodies of three children were discovered."

Detective Superintendent John Brocklebank, from Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team, said: "We are in the early stages of a large investigation."
