TEACHERS braved the cold weather for a sponsored run and walk across the South Downs to raise money for a local Syrian refugee charity.
Trekking and running the seven miles from Ditchling Beacon to The Juggs pub in Kingston, near Lewes, were Brighton College staff Stewart Horder, Gareth Brocklesby, Elizabeth Cody, Joe Skeaping, Jane Langhorne and Steve Radocic who were raising money for Samara’s Aid, a non-profit making charity set up by one of the school’s parent Samara Levy.
The money raised will go towards refugee living costs, transporting goods and helping with medical costs.
