HOVE Lawns is getting ready for the three day Foodies Festival which takes place over the bank holiday weekend.

The star-studded line-up includes MasterChef Winner 2016 Jane Devonshire and Great British Bake Off Winner 2016 Candice Brown.

It will be the Brighton debut for both of them.

Candice said: “I’m excited to be at Foodies Festival this summer with two baking demonstrations a day giving me the chance to share my favourite recipes with so many of my fans and fellow bakers.”

There will also be a healthy living zone featuring Amanda Evans from The Float Spa and Michael Bremner, head chef of Brighton restaurant 64 Degrees.

Mr Bremner said: “I’m delighted to be a part of the launch of Foodies Festival this summer in my home town of Brighton.

“It’s a great day out and I love sharing my recipes with fellow foodies each year at the festival.”

Since its opening 64 Degrees has gone from strength to strength winning Best Restaurant and Best Chef in the Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Awards.

Other chefs appearing at the festival are Michelin Star Adam Simmonds, Crème de la Crème winner Mark Tilling, local favourite Alun Sperring of Chilli Pickle, Stephen Crane of Ockenden Manor and Doug McMaster of SILO.

Kate Moss’s detox coach Amanda Hamilton will also be inspiring healthy foodies in the healthy living zone.

A kids’ zone is being sponsored by Hove Village nursery, and will feature cookery classes and outdoor games.

Visitors to the event will be able to sample the delights of street food avenue, learn to bake in the cake and bake theatre, and enjoy afternoon tea in a vintage tea tent.

There will also be the chance to taste wine, champagne and craft beer in the drinks theatre.

An adult ticket for Friday costs £10 with concessions £8.

A Saturday or Sunday adult ticket is £13 with concessions £11.

A three-day adult ticket costs £20 with concessions £16.

You can also buy a VIP day ticket which costs £35 on the Friday or £38 on the Saturday or Sunday.

This includes a welcome glass of bubbly, use of the VIP area with private bar and refreshment, priority entry to food and drink masterclasses, exclusive VIP-only masterclasses, show guide, and a goody bag to take home.

Children aged 12 and under go free if accompanied by an adult.
