Editor of The Argus Michael Beard is taking on a gruelling challenge to raise money for charity.

He will be leading a group of 20 people on a bike ride from Brighton to Paris in aid of The Argus Appeal.

It is the third time Michael has taken part in the annual five-day challenge, now in its seventh year.

The cyclists, who set off on July 27, are aiming to raise £20,000 for the appeal, which supports good causes around Sussex.

Michael, who is also the appeal’s chairman of trustees, said: “I am looking forward to the challenge but I am now asking for support once again.

“My promise to you is that every penny you give will go towards supporting those in real need in our community.”

People can sponsor Michael at www.justgiving.com/MichaelBeard2.

Cheques made payable to The Argus Appeal can also be sent to Michael at Argus House, Crowhurst Road, Hollingbury, Brighton, BN1 8AR.
